Heat Wave and Peppers

We are having a small heat wave. I don't do well with the heat, but the garden loves it ;)

The peppers are beginning to turn colour. Yesterday husband decided to sample...

Hungarian Hot Wax - are at the yellow to orange stage. Apparantly as they begin to go more red they hottness increases. At the moment they taste similar to a regular green bell pepper with a touch of hotness. It has a good flavour.

Hot Portugal - a skinny green pepper that will eventually turn red. As it begins to go red the heat intensity should decrease and become more sweet. I touched the green pepper to my lips and it BURNED! I didn't even attempt to eat it. I think I can make a hot sauce of it at this stage.
